What is BusyBees?

BusyBees is a platform that connects people in their local area – for small jobs, flexible support, and paid help. Anyone who needs help can easily post a task. Those who want to help can find suitable tasks nearby.

In which countries and languages is BusyBees available?

BusyBees is currently available in Austria, so jobs can only be posted there for now. The platform is available in German and English. Slovak and Czech will be added soon, with Hungarian and other languages to follow.

How does the platform work?

It’s simple: After registering, you can post a task for free – from handyman jobs like painting walls, to help with household or garden tasks, up to online tutoring or virtual office assistance.
Registered users who want to take tasks can browse suitable offers nearby and – after purchasing a membership (BusyBees Active 3, 6, or 12) – contact clients directly.
This way, BusyBees brings people together quickly, easily, and locally.

Is registration required?

Yes, registration is necessary to actively use the platform.

Do I need a membership (subscription)?

Yes. For those seeking help who want to post a task, there is the free “BusyBees Free” subscription.
If you want to view or accept tasks, you need a paid membership (BusyBees Active 3, 6, or 12).

Is there an app?

There is no app yet, but we are working on it and planning development.

What does it cost to post a task?

Posting and creating a task is free for help seekers with the “BusyBees Free” membership.

What does it cost to accept tasks?

To view and accept tasks, you can choose between three paid memberships (subscriptions). Posting tasks is always included.

• BusyBees Active 3 | 3 months at €9.90 each
• BusyBees Active 6 | 6 months at €6.90 each
• BusyBees Active 12 | 12 months at €4.90 each

When you purchase a paid membership for the first time, the first month is free.
Memberships renew automatically unless cancelled.

Which subscription is right for me?

That depends entirely on how often and for how long you want to use BusyBees, and how many tasks you expect to take on during that time. For short-term projects, the 3-month plan is ideal. If you’re planning to use BusyBees more regularly, the 6- or 12-month plans offer better value and pay off in the long run. All plans let you browse, accept, or post unlimited tasks.

Is there a free plan?

Yes, the “BusyBees Free” plan is completely free and lets you create and post your own tasks. However, if you want to view or accept tasks, you’ll need to subscribe to a paid plan (BusyBees Active 3, 6 or 12).

Can I change or cancel my subscription?

Yes, you can manage everything directly from your profile:
➡️ Profile → Edit profile → Cancel subscription

You can upgrade to a longer or more affordable plan (e.g. from TRY to ACTION 3, 6 or 12) at any time. The new plan will automatically start when your current one ends – with no double charges.

Downgrading to a shorter plan (e.g. from ACTION 12 back to ACTION 3) isn’t possible during the active term. In that case, simply cancel your subscription and select a new one once it ends.

⚠️ Note: The free month for your first paid subscription only applies once per account, even if you later switch or renew.

How do I sign up on BusyBees?

It’s easy: Click “Sign up” in the top right menu.
If you only want to post tasks, select: “I just want to post tasks (Free)”..

Then simply choose a username, enter your email address and a password – and you’re ready to go!
Your password must be at least 8 characters long and include one lowercase letter, one number, and one special character.

Can I register as both client and BusyBee?

es – with just one profile, you can post and accept tasks. To accept tasks, you’ll need a monthly membership (BusyBees Active 3, 6 or 12). No need for a second account – everything is managed from one profile. See “What does it cost to accept tasks?

How can I edit or delete my profile?

Log in and click the “Profile” icon in the menu. Under “Edit profile”, you can update your details anytime.

If you want to delete your profile completely, just cancel your subscription – your account will be deleted automatically once the subscription ends.

Is there a free plan?

Yes, the “BusyBees Free” plan is completely free and lets you create and post your own tasks. However, if you want to view or accept tasks, you’ll need to subscribe to a paid plan (BusyBees Active 3, 6 or 12).

How do I post a task?

Log in and click “New Task” on the homepage or under “My Tasks” in your profile. Choose a category, describe the task in detail, add the desired timeframe, location, and compensation. You can also upload photos to make the task or location clearer. Once saved, your task will go live and become visible to Bees searching for matching jobs.

How much should I offer for my task?

It depends on the type, scope and duration of the task. Fair and realistic pay increases the chances your task will be accepted quickly. If you’re unsure, just state what the task is worth to you – Bees can suggest a counter-offer in the task chat.

Should I enter an exact price or just a ballpark figure?

You can either set a fixed price or enter a rough estimate. Many Bees will then make a counter-offer. What matters most is that the payment is fair and realistic – a clear price makes it more likely your task will be accepted quickly.

Can I create multiple tasks at once and edit or delete them later?

Yes, you can post multiple tasks anytime. Under “My Tasks” in your profile, you can edit or delete them at any time. This gives you full flexibility if details change or a task is no longer needed.

Who can see my task?

Your tasks are visible to all BusyBees members browsing the relevant category or searching by keywords. That way, your task reaches exactly the Bees who are ready to help.

How long does it take to get a response?

That depends on the task, your region and current demand. Many tasks are accepted within a few hours – others may take a little longer. Fair pay and clear descriptions increase your chances of getting a quick response.

Can I decline an application if it doesn’t feel right?

Yes – you can reject applications in the task chat if they don’t meet your expectations. You stay in control and can wait for applications that better match your needs.

When and how should I pay for the task?

You handle payment directly with the Bee. When and how you pay is entirely up to you. We recommend discussing payment details before the task begins to ensure everything runs smoothly.
